Why Choose DHWD

Modern design, long-term performance, responsive support

California homeowners, builders, and architects turn to DHWD when they want sleek, modern frames and large glass panels without the typical luxury showroom markup. Our premium aluminum doors and windows elevate both views and resale value.

Products are engineered with dual-pane, low-E glass and thermally broken aluminum frames to support California Title 24 energy standards — keeping interiors comfortable year-round and built for all-weather durability across California's coastal zones, inland valleys, and mountain communities.

Rather than acting as the direct installer, DHWD focuses on supplying the right products and connecting you with vetted, licensed installation partners familiar with our systems and local building requirements. Because we specialize in aluminum systems and ship nationally, you benefit from factory-direct value on high-end configurations and large sizes that big box stores rarely carry.

Sliding & Casement Windows

A popular choice for California window replacement projects, offering a clean, modern look with excellent sightlines. Sliding windows come in a wide range of sizes, with casement options providing maximum ventilation and a contemporary, architectural appearance for living spaces, bedrooms, and stairwells.

Like our door systems, these windows use dual-pane, low-E glass and thermally broken frames to support Title 24 efficiency and keep interior temperatures stable year-round. We help you design a thoughtful mix of window types per room and elevation, then coordinate proper flashing, sealing, and weatherproofing.

Bifold, Fold-Up & Screen Windows

Bifold and folding-up windows are especially popular for kitchen passthroughs, bars, and serving counters that open to patios and outdoor entertainment spaces. Bifold windows stack neatly to one side; fold-up (gas-strut) windows lift open to create a true bar-style opening.

A favorite in coastal and hillside homes throughout California. Custom-sized aluminum screen windows complete your package with insect protection and airflow without compromising views — matched to our window offerings for a clean, integrated finish.

Beyond doors and windows, DHWD offers aluminum fencing and entry gates that complement modern architecture and perform well across California's diverse climates. Built from rust-resistant aluminum that stands up to coastal moisture, sun exposure, and inland heat — a practical choice for properties throughout the state.

Clean, contemporary profiles pair seamlessly with our aluminum doors and windows for a cohesive look from the street to the back yard. Popular for front entries, side yards, pool enclosures, and commercial properties needing both security and design. Licensed installers set posts, align gates, and integrate hardware while we help you select the right style, height, and layout.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you offer installation services?

We're based in Newbury Park / Thousand Oaks and offer full-service installation, through trusted 3rd-party installers, throughout California — including the Greater Los Angeles area, Ventura County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and communities across the entire state.

Our installation network covers California from San Diego to the Bay Area and beyond. Common service areas include Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Oxnard, Camarillo, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Irvine, Orange, Anaheim, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, San Diego, La Jolla, Carlsbad, Riverside, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Palo Alto, Sacramento, and surrounding communities throughout California.

Do you serve all regions throughout California, including Northern California and the Bay Area?

Yes. While our home base is in the Ventura County / Los Angeles area, we coordinate installation statewide through a network of qualified, trusted local installers across California.

Whether your project is in San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, the Inland Empire, or anywhere across the state, we work to ensure your installation is handled professionally and to our exacting product standards.

Please note that for projects outside of California, we do not refer installation contractors, with the exception of large commercial jobs.

Contact us with your project location and details, and we'll confirm the best approach for your area — whether that's one of our preferred California installers or a vetted local contractor we can help coordinate with.

What counts as a “typical” project size for local installation?

Most of our local installation projects are full door systems, large patio sliders, multi‑panel bifold doors, or multiple windows and screens as part of a remodel or replacement project.

As a rule of thumb, if you are replacing several openings or investing in a large premium door or window system, it is very likely a good fit for our local installation service.

Will you install just one or two windows or a single door?

Yes, we do take on select smaller projects locally when they involve our premium products, complex openings, or are part of a larger phased plan for the home.

If your project is very small (for example, one basic window or a simple screen replacement), we may recommend products‑only plus a trusted local installer to keep your total cost down.

How do you handle large out‑of‑area or out‑of‑state projects?

For large custom projects and major openings, we regularly ship our doors and windows nationwide.

In some cases, when the project size justifies it (for example, a full luxury home package with a high overall budget), we can send a dedicated installation team or on‑site supervisor outside our immediate region.

Can you install my project if I’m in another state?

For most out‑of‑state customers, DHWD supplies the product and serves as your technical partner while your licensed local contractor handles installation.

We’ll review your plans, provide drawings from our factory, and help you and your contractor choose the right sizes, configurations, and installation details for our aluminum systems.

How do products‑only orders work?

Many of our customers buy products‑only from us and use their own contractor or installer.

You can order directly through our Shopify website or work with our team to put together a detailed quote and invoice based on your plans, then have the products shipped to your home, jobsite, or warehouse.

What support do you provide if I buy products‑only?

Even on product‑only orders, we can help review your plans, suggest configurations, and provide factory drawings so your installer knows exactly how the system is designed.

We can also answer technical questions from your contractor about sizing, operation, glass options, and other installation details for our aluminum doors, windows, and screens.

Do you work directly with contractors, builders, and HOAs?

Yes. DHWD frequently works with contractors, builders, designers, and HOAs on larger residential and multi‑unit projects.

For qualified trade partners, we can discuss preferred pricing, plan takeoffs, and ongoing supply for repeated projects using our aluminum bifold doors, sliders, windows, and screens.

How do I know if my project is big enough for DHWD to handle installation?

If your project includes multiple openings, large multi‑panel doors, or a full window and door package, it almost always qualifies for full DHWD support and, in our local area, installation.

The best next step is to send us your plans or basic measurements; We will quickly tell you whether your project is ideal for local installation, a hybrid approach, or product‑only with installer support.

What is the best way to start the process?

You can start by sending your plans, measurements, or photos to us, or by submitting an inquiry through our website with your city and a brief description of your project.

From there, we'll confirm the right service path for your project — full installation, product-only, or a combination — and let you know what to expect next.
